Vegan Guide to Downtown Disney – March 2026 Updates

This is still a work in progress, because there are so many things to try! I will continue to update with photos and reviews as I work my way around the park. Be sure to check out my earlier blog posts for reviews at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes

[menu]

The Black Bean Burger
Black bean burger, salsa verde, cilantro, charred corn, pickled onions, on a vegan bun served with lettuce, tomato, a pickle, and french fries
I thought this burger was really pretty, but it ended up being one of the worst vegan burgers I’ve had in my life. 😅 It can be tough to get a black bean burger just right, and this one was mushy and unpleasant. I came here with a vegan friend from out of town, and we both can eat, but neither of us finished our burgers. Next time I stopped in for a late night snack, I just got the fries with a side of KBBQ sauce, which were good – but I tried my friend’s sweet potato fries and I think I preferred those. If I was coming in for a “meal” I’d personally skip the burger – just do fries with a shake and call that a balanced diet.

Classic Shakes
Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, nutella, peanut butter, cookie, funfetti cake batter, cookies and cream, brownie batter, or dulce de leche
I think there are usually one or two classic flavors that can not be made vegan, but most can when you ask for the non-dairy ice cream base. Best to double check when you order. I’ve done cookies & cream, and peanut butter in the past and both were great.

Earl of Sandwich

[menu]

Earl of Sandwich has been bounced around a few times, and is now at a temporary pop-up trailer next to Star Wars Trading Post. In the past they have had a designated veggie sandwich that could be made vegan without cheese, but this is not listed on their abbreviated menu. If you were desperate, you could probably still order a meat-based sandwich and make it veggie with modifications (no meat, cheese, mayo), but at that point it might not be worth it.

Jamba

[menu]

This location serves a standard Jamba menu, with a selection of smoothies that are labeled plant-based. Other smoothies can be made vegan by omitting sorbet or yogurt – I’ll usually ask if I can substitute something else, and they will suggest fruit or non-dairy ice cream if they have it (in the past, I believe it was oat-based). The granola used for the bowls is also vegan, but you will need to omit honey and make the sorbet/yogurt substitutions mentioned above. The apple cinnamon pretzel (sometimes labled as “sweet pretzel” is also vegan.

Naples Ristorante e Bar

Minestrone Soup (Cup or Bowl)

House-Made Focaccia

Vegan Bolognese & Penne
plant-based bolognese, marinara, vegan parmesan

Venice Beach Vegan Pizza (10″ individual or 20″ full-size)
vegan mozzarella, tomato sauce, marinated artichoke, roasted red pepper, grilled red onion, and green pepper

Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio

[menu]

Jazz Kitchen doesn’t list any vegan options on their updated menu, but they have had off-menu items in the past. Will update soon!

Salt & Straw

[menu]

Salt & Straw always has several offerings of unique vegan ice creams, available in a cup, sugar cone, or pint to take home. Right now, the standard vegan flavors are Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip, Hazlenut Chocolate Cookies & Cream, and Strawberry Coconut Water Sherbert. The current seasonal flavor is Captain’s Berried Treasure, as part of the Cereal-sly Delicious collection. Pictured below is the February flavor, Cocoa Nib Root Beer Float, in a kids cone – there may be some of this left as they transition to March flavors and use up current stock. It was one of my favorites!

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

[menu]

Their updated menu no longer features an Impossible Burger, but it seems like they could be able to modify a sushi roll or salad/bowl to make it vegan. I will update when I’m able to check it out in person.

Starbucks

[menu]

This is a typical Starbucks with the standard menu. Unlike the Starbucks locations inside of the parks, this one does offer mobile ordering through the Starbucks app.

Wetzel’s Pretzels

[menu]

You can custom order a standard or cinnamon pretzel (or pretzel bitz) here, without butter, which they will make fresh for you. Their pizza sauce dip is also vegan.

Céntrico

[menu]

It seems like their potato tacos could be vegan if sour cream and queso are omitted, but I would recommend discussing with your server if you go. Will update when I visit.

Din Tai Fung

[menu]

I looooove Din Tai Fung and look forward to visiting the Downtown Disney location! The menu is very clearly labeled with a V for vegan items and a plant icon for vegetarian. For items that also have a non-vegan version (such as the dumplings, buns, etc.) the item title will also say “vegan.” I usually just tell my server I’m vegan when I start ordering so I know we’re on the same page. Most dishes are served family style, so it’s a great place to order with friends and try a bunch of different things. When I’m solo (or with people who don’t order vegan), I usually get the rice cakes and a greens dish and end up with leftovers to take home.

Here is a list of the labeled vegan items:

  • cucumber salad
  • seaweed & beancurd salad
  • soy noodle salad
  • wood ear mushrooms in a vinegar dressing
  • vegan steamed dumplings
  • vegan steamed buns
  • spicy wontons
  • wonton soup
  • string beans w/ garlic
  • broccoli w/ garlic
  • bok choy w/ scallion infused oil
  • spinach w/ garlic
  • taiwanese cabbage w/ garlic
  • kale w/ garlic
  • mustard greens w/ shredded ginger
  • vegan noodles w/ sesame sauce
  • vegan noodles w/ spicy sauce
  • vegan shanghai rice cakes
  • red bean & mochi XLB
  • sweet taro XLB
  • sesame & mochi XLB
  • red bean buns
  • sweet taro buns
  • sesame buns
  • red bean sticky rice wrap

GG’s Chicken Shop

[menu]

Unclear what’s veganizable here for sure, but it seems like they might have a couple of salads and chili-lime brussels sprouts that could work with modifications.

Napolini Pizzeria

[menu]

This is the quick-service side of Naples Ristorante, and according the app/webite, the menu seems to be abbreviated and doesn’t include the Venice Beach Vegan pizza. I’ll check it out when I go, but in the meantime I would aim for Naples Ristorante if you want their vegan options.

Parkside Market Coffee ✅

[menu]

The menu here is a little tough to navigate, because they do have fun specialty lattes but the components are not listed. I asked what was in the unicorn latte and immediately forgot, 😅 it sounded delicious but probably not worth trying to veganize. I went with something simpler, the cookie butter latte, without cold foam. I confirmed that their cold foam is dairy-based and it seems like many of the specialty coffees include it. In the future, I might prefer to order a regular latte with non-dairy milk (they have almond, oat, and soy) and a flavored syrup (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, lavender, or rose).

Paseo

[menu]

Paseo has several vegetarian items that include a notation to “ask about vegan options”, and I believe that means some of the vegetarian items can be customized. The two items below are labeled vegan as-is. Their pinto beans are labeled as vegetarian, which could just mean they’re topped with cheese or something that can be removed? I look forward to trying their menu and finding out more!

Crispy Cauliflower Steak
mole amarillo, salsa matcha, toasted almonds, pickled cauliflower, herb Salad

Arroz Rojo
mexican rice, tomato broth, peas, carrots

Seoul Sister

[menu]

Signature Bowl w/ Tofu
crispy organic tofu, carrots, cucumber, kale, avocado, creamy vegenaise cali sauce, with a choice of rice or japchae noodles

Tiendita

[menu]

I haven’t been to this location yet, but it seems like their mushroom tinga tacos & burritos could be made vegan with modifications (no sour cream or ques0). They also have house-made fruit popsicles which appear to be mostly vegan, but some likely contain dairy (fresas con crema).

Vista Parkside Market

[menu]

This is a cute (so I’ve heard) little bar on the second floor of Parkside Market with cocktails, beer, wine, and a few zero-proof drinks. They have a very small bar bites menu, and I assume the chips & guac would be the only vegan item. I never made it upstairs when I was checking out Parkside, but I’ve been told it’s a nice spot to relax, chat, or even read/work for a bit.

no vegan options (yet..)

  • Beignets Expressed
  • Blue Ribbon Corn Dog
  • Cathy’s Cookies
  • Kayla’s Cake
