Carthay Circle Restaurant

Carthay Circle is one of the only restaurants in the parks that typically doesn’t include designated plant-based items on their menu. However, they will usually accommodate vegan diners with modified versions of items from the menu, or the chef will create something off-menu for you. This can feel like a bit of a risk (or a fun surprise!) depending on your mood and budget.. but I hope to finally check out the offerings here sometime soon!

Like Carthay Circle Restaurant (above), the Lounge also doesn’t usually include plant-based items on the menu. However, when I dined here (at the bar), the bartender and servers were very knowledgeable about which items could be veganized, and seemed excited to make recommendations for me. This menu seems to change frequently, so the items I ordered in July 2025 are no longer on the menu, but here are some examples of what you might expect here. Additional recommendations included the Naanza (minus feta) which is still on the menu, and salads with modifications.

I was able to order a vegan version of a smoothie here about six years ago, but I haven’t tried recently. According to Happiest Vegan on Earth, the current smoothie lineup seems to be made with yogurt, but may be omitted to make a vegan smoothie.

I haven’t had these in a few years, but they are an all-time favorite for me. These are a modified version of the on-menu lobster nachos, and I’ve heard they can sometimes be made with soyrizo or other meat substitutes – I had them with vegan cheese, black beans, bell pepper, onion, jalapenos and pico de gallo and they were fantastic. Make sure you visit Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining rather than the main restaurant, as these are usually only offered at Boardwalk.
